The Tabernacle

Those who are studying the book of Exodus often begin skimming the chapters following the presentation of the Ten Commandments.  The familiar action of the book is over and the typical Sunday school stories are past.  Those who skip over the details of the tabernacle are really missing out.

While some find the details of the tabernacle to be tedious, every detail is important.  God is the architect and there is nothing random about the details of the tabernacle and its furnishings.  Instead, every detail points to an aspect of Christ, His life, or the process of salvation.  Every day that the priests entered the tabernacle they saw incredible pictures of Jesus and every sacrifice that they presented pointed toward Jesus’ once for all sacrifice.
